Friends! I am honored to serve on the Committee for Nightboat’s Second Annual Gala — The Faggots Fête, celebrating 50 years of The Faggots & Their Friends Between Revolutions! The benefit will take place on Tuesday, October 6th at the Sugar Hill Supper Club in Brooklyn and will celebrate the team behind Nightboat’s 2019 edition of this radical and expansive book — honoring illustrator Ned Asta, performance artist-comedian-activist Morgan Bassichis, writer Larry Mitchell (represented in memoriam by Francie Lyshak), and artist-filmmaker-activist Tourmaline. All funds raised by this event will go to support Nightboat's publishing program of queer archival works, including a forthcoming anniversary edition of The Faggots & Their Friends Between Revolutions and Larry Mitchell’s long out-of-print novel Terminal Bar, as well as Leslie Feinberg’s legendary Stone Butch Blues.
